Angel Babies Ceremony

Every year we have a candle lighting ceremony for families that have experienced the loss of a baby. We provide a moment of reflection and solace through music, testimonials and a companionship with others that have experienced the same grief and pain from their loss. Previously, other mother's and their families have stated how beneficial and healing it is to be able to honor their baby in this special setting

Baby Books

A scrapbook is specially made for each individual family to honor the memory of their baby. The pages include foot prints, hand prints, locks of hair (if available), pictures of baby and family, all personalizing the book to make it special for each family to find healing from their devastating loss.. Being able to touch the hand and foot prints or the hair can help touch what they can no longer hold in their arms. Over time, as the healing changes the intensity of the pain endured with their loss, they can refer to the book to find solace. When birthdays or holidays or triggers bring the pain bubbling to the surface, their book can help comfort.
WHAT WE OFFER
Private Meetings

In the early days, weeks and months of the healing process of grief, it is sometimes helpful to sit down and talk it out, cry it out or just sit and know the support is there with no judgement. The ability to talk to a neutral person and speak your mind without worrying who you may upset with your words, feelings or emotions can be a relief. The feeling of isolation can be real and knowing you are not alone can help begin your road to healing. The ability to face the triggers that will come and know you have someone there if you need them can give the strength to face the roller coaster ride of grieving.

Group or Family Support

As the grieving process begins you may find you and your significant other are not grieving in the same manner. This can lead to frustrations in a time when cohesiveness is paramount. Sometimes a mediator can ease the process and help build the understanding between you both, leading to a healthy healing process.

Group support is a way to take away the sense of isolation and promote healthy healing. Knowing there are others out there just like you and having them share their grieving process can give the strength and determination to handle the grief as the waves of pain ebb and flow.

Fundraisers

Many plans are in the making for fundraisers to help support our program. We plan to begin with a gala which will have food, dancing, bar, a few speakers and a silent auction as well.

We also plan to have a lantern release, whether via air or water is yet to be determined.
Each person or family will be able to write a note or letter to their little one and also place pictures if desired before launching.

Suggestions have been made for a "Disco" dance, a rubber ducky race, but also a walk for the little ones.

Angel Baby Awareness Walk

I am excited about having our first annual walk for the Angel Babies. Getting together and showing our support and love for those gone too soon is a way to honor the wee ones and get some healthy, relaxing exercise. Those with more stamina, we will be provided the opportunity to run for the babies. T-shirts for the walk will be shown on our web-site. There will be music and speakers with their testimonies of their experience.

We plan to offer more ways of getting together to support the babies gone to soon and their families. We will keep you posted.
